On My Way Out The Door

 

As my last official act as a Provo City Councilor, I'm posting this final blog entry. It is fitting as I have tried throughout my service on the Council to be as open and transparent as possible and to make it as easy as possible for interested residents to stay informed about the issues before the Council.

Serving on the Council was never something I aspired to, but it was an honor to represent my neighbors never-the-less. I made plenty of mistakes along the way, but with a clear conscience, I can declare that I fulfilled my duties to the best of my abilities.

There are many things that I will miss about this service (and many things that I won't), but what I'll miss most is the people that I meet, the close working relationships, and friendships that have developed.

I am happy to pass the baton to Rachel Whipple. I know her to be intelligent, thoughtful, and caring. I have no doubt that she will be a fierce advocate for what she believes to be in the best interest of Provo.

Thank you to all who read my posts here. It is so important to stay informed on what is going on in our city. Thank you for caring and for all you do to make Provo a place worth calling home. I look forward to joining you as a regular citizen to continue to fight to make Provo even better.
